Double Blaze Painting

Double Blaze Painting, LLC
Daryl Lehman II

Hi, I'm Daryl!

If you're looking for a painter who is personable, trustworthy and knows that the small details matter…I'm your guy. Have a project?

Painting Services

We have the tools and skills to address the specific needs of your painting project. All successful projects begin with thorough preparation to ensure the surfaces are ready for painting and the surrounding areas/items are adequately protected. We use a combination of pressure washing, scraping and sanding to prepare surfaces for paint. Whether it be brushing, rolling or spraying; we will choose the method that is best suited for your project in order to provide a professional finish that will transform your home.

Power Washing

Power washing is the most common method to prep exterior surfaces for painting. In instances where there is growth of mold, mildew or algae on the surface, we will treat the surface to prevent regrowth prior to washing. Removing dirt buildup, mold, mildew or algae is critical for proper paint adhesion. This is the same process we will follow if your project is power washing only.

About the Company

As a teen, Daryl Lehman worked for his uncle's painting business as a means to make money and pay for college. During that 5 years he learned the painting trade, the value of hard work, and most importantly the significance of customer service. After graduating college with an Associates degree in Biomedical Electronics, he enjoyed a career in Healthcare IT that spanned 25 years. During this time he never truly left painting. With a combination of painting for family and friends, remodeling an old Victorian home with his wife and occasionally seeking side painting work, he remained closely connected to the paint brush. So much so that he decided to spend less time at a desk and return to painting full time by creating Double Blaze Painting, LLC.

The Double Blaze Process

What to Expect

Initial Contact

When you contact us via phone, email or the contact form we will immediately begin the process of learning what your needs and goals are for your painting project. This will include finding a time that works for us to meet in person.

Project Assessment

We assess each project on site to understand the specifics and ensure you receive a proper and accurate estimate. After reviewing our understanding of the project with you, we’ll take detailed measurements and inspect the surfaces to be painted. From this assessment we can select the products and tools that will produce the best result. Before leaving we’ll go over our findings with you, ask any outstanding questions, and give recommendations. Most assessments take about an hour and we request that you’re there on site for the duration.

Estimate and Contract

Within a week of meeting and assessing the project, you will receive an email with a link to a personalized estimate, detailing the work and products to be used for the project along with a contract to sign when you are ready to proceed with the work. Once we receive the signed contract and down payment, we will schedule a preliminary date to start the project and remain in contact with you as that date approaches to keep you informed on our expected arrival.

Completing the Project

By the time we arrive, we will already have spent a considerable amount of time communicating with each other. This means we will arrive with complete awareness of what your project entails and be ready to get to work. In most cases, Daryl will be the one doing all of the painting. On occasion we may seek additional help to complete your project. In most cases we will already have discussed this with you during the assessment and estimating process. In all cases, Daryl will be the one managing the project and will be on site for the majority of the project.
